What's new in Multimedia?

With the start of the second semester, ROP Multimedia transitioned from designing in Adobe Illustrator to Photoshop and photography. While the students are learning the basics of Photoshop, they are simultaneously learning rule of composition for photography.
Every week the students are given two “Rules of Photography” assignments. The students have to take their own photos to illustrator each of these rules: Rule of Thirds, Rule of Odds, Pattern & Textures, Viewpoint, Frame Within A Frame, and Leading Lines.At the end of the week, they turn in the ‘best’ two photos.I will be sharing these photos in the near future.
One of the most powerful editing techniques in Photoshop is masking.Masking is akin to making a stencil so that you can manipulate selected portion(s) of your image.That alone makes it powerful.But, the best part is that it is non-destructive.Thus, you can modify it without destroying your image.I’ve included some examples of different masking techniques that we have …
